About Me

Bernhard Klingenberg

Bernhard Klingenberg is a Professor of Statistics, teaching courses ranging from Introductory Statistics for the Social Sciences to Mathematical Statistics, Data Visualization and his favorite subject, Categorical Data Analysis. Categorical Data Analysis is also Bernhard's major research interest. He published articles in journals such as Biometrics (on analyzing multivariate binary data), Statistics in Medicine (on confidence intervals for the risk ratio and others), Computational Statistics & Data Analysis (on binary time series) or the Journal of the Royal Statistical Society, Series B: Applied Statistics (on analyzing adverse events data from drugs). His method to construct a confidence interval for the difference of proportion in stratified 2x2 contingency tables has been implemented in SAS software's proc freq.
